Small Scale Technology Certificates (STC’s)

The Commonwealth government ‘Renewable Energy Program’ provides a financial incentive for households, investment properties, holiday shacks and small businesses to install a grid connected solar power system or hot water system. This scheme is NOT means tested. Every solar system is deemed to be worth a certain number of Small Scale Technology Certificates (STC’s) which are then multiplied by the daily STC $ rate. The cash value may then be deducted from the total value of your system.
